We combine anthropological business research with practical personnel and organizational development and methodically-based training and coaching proposals.
The principles of anthropological business research are participant observation and a qualitative interview as well as the acquisition of all required data, which are necessary for complete insight into the company. For this reason we suggest accompanying staff members and executives within the respective company for several days or weeks initially in order to gain deeper insight into the workings of the firm. Once we have thoroughly determined the basis of the given organizational culture and working conditions, we can then develop precisely the change processes with which we can reach the goals of our mission in an optimal way. In addition, by observing the trainees for one to two hours at their work stations, we are able to integrate this method directly with a program of training and coaching. At the conclusion of this observation, we would follow up with an extensive feedback in private, during which the trainer would refer at all times to the directly observed situation rather than be dependent only on the impression management of the trainees as the foundation for their joint work. Moreover the trainee is not obliged to explain to the trainer all tedious particulars of his work and its demands, but the trainer is able to experience the trainee’s world in a real-life context. This allows him to give practice-oriented, customized tips for the optimization of task management, customer communication, work organization, managerial behavior, etc.
